Show Park City Notes. Special to Tho Tribune. PARK CITV, Jan. S. The regular meeting of the City Council was held atf the city hall last evening, when tho regu- : lar routine of business was dispensed with. All bills presented to tho council worn paid, with the exception of the E. D. Sutton & Co. account and. the Western West-ern Union Telegraph company bill, which were referred to tho county for payment. Liquor licenses were granted to JaCob Crooks. Welsh, Drlscoll Aj Buck, W. R. Luce, Gus Carlson. William Donovan, Dono-van, George Wanning and Pat Clark. All officers of the ilty received their monthly month-ly checks. A communication was n-celved from Gov. Cutler, appointing Mayor Wil-fou Wil-fou a delgato to attend tho Good RoadB convention to bo held in Salt Lako during thu session of the legislature. Tho i mayor was given powor to appoint llvo moro to attend tho sanio convention. The special committer appointed to as- I j certain if a reduction could not he mado on tho price of lights furnished the city by tho Park City Light, Heat and Power company submitted Its report. A communication com-munication was received from this company com-pany In connection with the above report, asking that tho city glvo tho Park City Water company a twenty-five-year franchise fran-chise on the water rights, and in return It would reducp tho price of lighting tho city, as well as mako somo favorable changes In the lighting system. Tho committee com-mittee recommended that the offer from tho light company be not accepted. The report and the communication wero filed. The funeral of Mrs. Georgo B. Holmes was held from the Catholic church this afternoon. The services, conducted by Father Galligan. were beautiful and Impressive. Im-pressive. Tho deep sympathy of a wide circle of friends was shown by tho many beautiful floral offerings heaped upon the casket. |
