Show I New York Letter. James A. Pollock & Co., bankers and brokers, tS West Second South street, furnish fur-nish tho following, received over their private pri-vate wire yesterday afternoon: I-Iutton Stock Letter Xew York Today's To-day's market has 'been under the Inllu-ence Inllu-ence of manipulative orders In the cheaper cheap-er grade of rails today, which have been advanced sharply in most instances. Tho higher grade stocks have moved only in sympathy with these operations. Wo must confess that while many of these cheap rails have pood merit for the remote re-mote future, yet we are unwilling; to follow fol-low the lead of these stocks at the present pres-ent time. Some definite news as regards our trunk line properties which would warrant higher prices would create the bellif .that stocks mlchl still be bought but we doubt the wisdom of following the present market without stops. |
