WHOLESALE PRICES CAUSE A RUCTION Market Row Merchant Objects to Wholesale and Retail Prices Being Published. Aroused over tho fact that the papers pa-pers havo been printing tho wholesalo as well as tho rotail prices of tho goods on Market row, J. M. Mnrriott, 22-24 West Pirst South, declared Monday that ho would give out no moro prices to tho papers. The reason ho gave was that people knowing tho wholesale prices of goods ho handled complained of the retail prices demauded. When asked if ho did not think the public had a right to know the prices, he replied: "T do not. It is nono of tho public's businc63 what my prices are, aud Lf they want to know they can coino down, hero and find out. "Tho papers havo novcr shown us any courtesy, and we arc under no obligation ob-ligation to them. Wo havo a paper published for merchants, and it has advised ad-vised us against giving out prices.
