Tho executive committee, tho uniform lesson committee, tho Sunday-school editorial edi-torial committee and the (lenomlnational publishing concerns of thG country were represented in tho assembly of the leaders lead-ers who are authorized to speak for nearly all the denominations of the Christian churches, representing somo 14, 000,000 mernbors. The topic for discussion Is "How can we Improvo tho lesson system?" The International lesson committee, prompted by action taken at tho last triennial tri-ennial at Rome in tho spring of 1H07, haa had under connideratlon tho question of changing the system to moot advancing conditions, and there has been much discussion dis-cussion of plans by members of the editorial edi-torial association and tho publishers of the lessons of tho various denominations. Whllo various conferences havo brn had by the several branches of the Intel-national Intel-national association this is the first time in the history of the organization, which was founded in 1S75. that the four great branches of the work have been represented repre-sented at such a meeting. |
