Hughes, one of the heavy' shareholders of the Southern Pacific Mining corn-pa corn-pa ny, whoso claims are located near the foot of tho great Sierra Madre mountain moun-tain iu which the big veins of Don Maguire's Santa Maria exist, visited the property today and was enthused with the showing made. Tho big tunnel is now in 300 foot, cross-cutting tho formation and at tho time of Mr. Hughes' visit tho while face of the tunnel was in high grade copper sulphides, principally ni the chaleopyritfl class. There appears to be no question but that .1. W. Burnham has in this property the extension of the great veius iu Mr. Magiare 's property proper-ty inthe Santa Maria basiu. Idaho, is spending n few days in Ogdon looking after his property interests in-terests here. S. Bierch of Salt Lake, side-walk contractor con-tractor in Zion. is in Ogden today looking look-ing for labor for his work. Ho can use all the men that may appl.y. F. J. Senior of Salt Lake is registered regis-tered at the Broom. Mr. Senior says that he is the owner of good duck grounds at the mouth of t.he Weber river anrl that his mission is to sec a number of ppoplc who have been shooting shoot-ing on his grounds. C. R.
