Show MANY SUNDAY DRUNKS. Juclgo Murphy of tho Municipal Court Has a Busy Day, Special lo The Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 1. Tho usual quota of Sunday drunks appeared this morning before Judge Murphy in tho Municipal court. A number were fined, many others forfeited the inouoy they had deposited, and some others, who were less for lunate, went to tho rock pile for five-day periods. Several vags who had. been run in . wore tho recipients of niuoty-day sentences, sen-tences, but in each case Judge Murphy Mur-phy suspended the sentences in order to give tho vags a chance to get out of town. Brief Mention. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 1. Judge Howoll of the Second District court went to Morgan Mor-gan this morning. Ho was accompanied by District Attornoy George Haiversou. A number of orders wero made in probate pro-bate cases by Judge Howell, and the gentlemen returned to Ogden this afternoon. after-noon. The jury panel for tho October' term in the' Second District court was approved ap-proved by Judge Howell late this aftor-noon. aftor-noon. Hollings-worth Hollings-worth aro back from their honeymoon, spent in the Northwest, and aro temporarily tem-porarily at tho Reed. J. D. Kenworthy, general agent of the froight department of the Rio Grande system, with headquarters in Salt Lake, was in Ogden today and was the guest of General Agent Cronin of the local offices. H. W. Ruth of Salt Lake, Western representative of the Allen Bros.' wholesale grocery house of Omaha, was in Ogden again today visiting tho trade. He roports business in tho Western States better every trip he makes. ' Superintendent William Allison of the Ogden public schools is back from Chicago, to which point ho accompanied the remains of tho late Norman B. Robertson and turned them over to his relatives. A marriage license was iasuod today to John B. Orton, 26, of Chesterfield, Ida., and Miss Ethel Lovcland, 17, of tho same place. The couple will be married in the Salt Lake temple. |
