FIVE WOUNDS INFLICTED, ALL IN REGION OF HEART Trouble Grew Out of a Game of Pool in the Exchange n Saloon. Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO, Utah, July 24. In a drunken row in the Exchange saloon on Center street, at 7:30 o'clock tonight, one man was so badly cut with a pocket-knife that ho will probably die before morning. From all the facts' obtainable at the present time It appears that a man by the name of Dill Davis had some difficulty diffi-culty with Tom Wright over a game of pool, and called upon his friend, George Ferre, to aid him. Forro at onco took a hand In the scrap and in the mix-up which followed Ferre drow his pocket knife and stabbed Wright flvo times. All the wounds arc in the immediate vicinity vicin-ity of the heart. One cut penetrated the heart cavity and severed the sac around the heart. Wright was at onco taken to thctProvo General hospital, and Dr. Robinson is. authority for tho statement that ho was Inhaling and exhaling from the cuts and was blooding Internnlly. The doctor expressed ex-pressed great doubt as to Wright's recovery, re-covery, although the hemorrhage has been stopped and his pulse is but very little above normal. Ferre was Immediately arrested and Is now in the custody of the Sheriff of Utah county. Wright is about 24 years of age and Ferre Is a married man with , a large family. . |
