Show IIIOIHSTEBN WEHICIES Special Meeting of Stockholders Held in Salt Lake on Thursday. BUILDING OF A BRANCH LINE IS AUTHORIZED It Is to Run From Garfield Junction Up Bingham Canyon. A special meeting of the stockholders of the Rio Grande Western railway was held Thursday in Salt Lake. Tho object of the meeting was to amend the nrtlcles of Incorporation so as to authorize the building of a branch line between Garfield Gar-field Junction nnd Dalton station up Bingham Bing-ham canyon, to connect with the Copper Belt railway, and this proposition was carried out. Among tho railroad officials brought hero to attend this mooting were Amos C Rldgcway, general manager of the Denver Den-ver Rio Grande system. J. B, Andrews assistant to Vice-President Schlacks; J, F. Howe, auditor of passenger receipts; E. J, Yard, chief engineer, and Elroy N. Clark, attorney. These officials spent most of the day with- General Superintendent A. E. Wcl-by Wcl-by considering matters relating to this end of tho system. |
