All were unanimous In their appreciation of the work of tho Logan college for the Information received from tho professors and college from year to year. Dr. Yoder on Dry Farming. Dr. Yoder discussed dry farming, Irrigation Irri-gation and fertilizing. He explained various methods by which the fertility of the soil could be maintained and Increased, In-creased, and urged the farmers of this section to net on his suggestion at once. Discuss Science of Darying. Prof. Clark spoke of dairying and of breeding. Ho gave out some very Interesting Inter-esting facts concerning llvo stock In general. gen-eral. He also urged the farmers to organize orga-nize a complote county organization, and showed the bencfltn to bo derived from such an association. Mrs. Korea Hanson, cno of Ephralm's most highly respected citizens, died at her homo in this city Tuesday cvonlng of perltonltlB. Mrs. Hanson was born In Copenhagen, Denmnrk, November 7, 1843. Sho camo to Utah in 1S77, and settled In Ephralm. Black Hawk Veterans. A committee consisting of Pctor Petersen. Peter-sen. M- F. Murray. Jamca Armstrong, George Allied and Ole Larson attended a reunion of the Black Hawk war veterans at Mt. Pleasant Monday They presented a proposition to hold tho annual encampment en-campment of the Walker and Black Hawk war veterans In this city during tho coming summer. Tho encainpmont will perhaps bo a Stato affair. The place of holding It will bo decided upon nt a meeting to be held next Monday. |
