Mr. Peckham has with him his family and his prlvato secretary, Miss S. M-Vance, M-Vance, nnd also Mr. and Mrs. "W. C. Robinson of Wlnflold. Kan. The party Is on routo to the Pacific coast, and nftor a visit in Salt Lnko, whero thoy dosiro to take a poek at tho hlerarch, they will proceed over tho San Pedro to Los Angoles, and from thoro will go up tho coast to Snn Francisco and Portland, returning re-turning homo about a month from now. Tho rond over which Mr. Peckham presides Is one of tho newest in America. It runs from Guthrie. Okla.. to Kiowa, Kan., nnd Its headquarters are nt Enid In Oklahoma. At present It operates only about seventy miles, but tho list of Its equipment Indicates a heavy traffic, nnd Mr. Peckham stated today that there Is not another Inland rond that docs tho samo volume of business per mllo. "It may bo bonton by some of the Atlantic coaBt resort linos, but It Is not equaled by any Inland rond." said Mr. Peckham.
