Show I WILL ARREST A TRAIN. Big Corporation Organized to Manufacture Manu-facture Important Railway Device. Special to Tho Tribune. GRAND ENCAMPMENT. Wyo., Dec. 12 The Railway Equipment company, capitalized at $2,000,000, has filed artlclos of incorporation with the Secretary of State. This company has been organized for the purpose of demonstrating and manufacturing the most novel railway device of the century, tho "automatic t'oln arresting device, which has been designed and patented by Norman B. Young of this city. Perhaps of all the Inventions pertaining to nn Improvement In modern railroading, railroad-ing, this is fho most important and interesting. inter-esting. Tho Inventor's claim for the device, if realized, will astonish tho railroad world. Mr. Young declares that tho dcvlco, if properly placed, will prevent either head-on head-on or rear' collisions, either on tho main or uldc lines, and that train crews running run-ning over lines supplied or equipped with this device may always bo in perfect safety ns far its collisions are concerned. The patent Is simple. The prevention of collisions is accomplished by causing each train to set mechanism which will automatically apply air brakes to other trains coming dangerously near. Tho Railway Automatic company will arrnngo for an early demonstration of tho delce and will push the patent Into public pub-lic favor at the earliest possible date. It la expected that somo prominent railway man will soon be Interested, but nothing definite has been given out. C. W. Miller, Jr., a St. Paul business' num. has taken the position of general manager of the company, and will push elevations. His acquaintance with men in railroad circles in thnt city will undoubtedly un-doubtedly lead to an early domonstx-ation of the device. |
