Show TWO HOLD-UPS ARE CAPTURED IN OGDEN Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Utah, Dec. 12. Jack Burke and Frank Cunnlnghrfm are under arrest on the chargo of highway robbery. Burko and Cunningham were taken into custody this morning by officers Vance, Smylhe and Tom Burko, and arc supposed to be the men guilty of tho many recent holdup hold-up In this city. The officers got a tip that there were two men rooming at tho Eureka house on Twenty-firth street who wcro In the habit of sleeping days and staying out all night. They were watched and the developments warranted tho arrest ar-rest of the suspects. They were taken to tho police station, where they were confronted con-fronted by Mrs. Ida Jensen and G. A. llln-ley, llln-ley, - both of whom positively identified them as tho men who held them up. Besides Be-sides this, the dark handkerchiefs which the men wore over their faces wcro found In their possession. At the regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, held today, a communication com-munication was received from County Attorney At-torney Jnmes Johnson of Morgnn county asking why tho demand made by Morgan county for taxes of transitory stock had not been honored. The matter was referred re-ferred to Commissioner Stondford for report. re-port. F. A. Rogers was appointed deputy constable con-stable for Ogden City until January 1, at tho request of Constable II. E. Steele. Tho Board of Education met today to canvass the returns oT the recent school election. There were no changes, the vote1 of oach candidate being exactly as published pub-lished In The Tribune a week ago. Dr. Conroy leads in the matter of pluralities. c Tho case of WInslow vs. Potter Bros, came up for hearing today before Judge Rolapp. The plaintiff sues to hnvo a certain cer-tain lease abrogated, upon the ground that defendant has violated the terms of the same, and that ho be ejected from the promises. Tho case was not concluded when court adjourned. Herbert Logan, Carl Anderson and Rex Lee, three boys of tender age, were arraigned ar-raigned before Judge Howell on the charge of petit larceny. The lads confessed that they had boon conducting a career of theft, having stolen from nearly every prominent business house on Washington avenue. 'The lads were held to appear before be-fore Judge Rolapp. Dr. Charles B. Gilbert, ox-presldent ot tho National Educational association, will lecture In Ogdon tomorrow owning on "Democracy in the Schools." o The City Council held their meeting tonight to-night and paid the third partial estimate duo L. C. Kelsov on sower district No. 9, amounting to JI2.01G.il. Julian II. Young asked permission to run a show on Sondny ovenlng consisting of a sacred concert and asked that a committee com-mittee of tho Council bo appointed to visit the show and determine whether or not the character of the play Is In violation of the anti-Sunday ordinance.
