Show BARTCH'S FIGHT FOR THE Bill PLACE. With the assured advent of Hon. George W. Bartch Into the Senatorial controversy, the Hon. George Sutherland Suther-land will have some kind of a fight. Probably It will not be much of a fray, as Mr. Bartch seems to have most of his powerful friends elsewhere than In the Utah Legislature. But small as Is the contest, it notifies Mr. Sutherland, Inasmuch as he does not Intend to retire from his dangerous aspirations, that he must all the more closely rely upon his one great element of strength apostolic influence. If the question should become an open one,, subject to ordinary political conditions, con-ditions, Judge Barlch's popularity at Washington might be of great value in the eyes of Utah people, as It could be taken to Indicate that he would be successful suc-cessful as a Senator. Therefore, these ordinary conditions must be excluded from consideration. In order that the Hon. George Sutherland shall have on his side the entire influence which guides this choice.
