Show SUES TO RECOVER $10C0 ON A PROMISSORY NOTE Special to Tho Tribune., PROVO, June 19 George Eckhart is suing George Dubois of Santaquln to recover re-cover on a promissory note and mortgago given aa security for the loan of $1000. In tho complaint, Is'cls Yorgason, Rosetta. Yorgaeon, H. J. Crandall, A. VIele, Peter E, Peterson and W. C. Carter arc made defendants because of certain Interests In the property involved in tho case, Tho mortgage and notes were first made to A. VIcle, who sold them to George Eckhart. L m f Saturday was a busy day at tho Midway. Mid-way. Good crowdB attracted to Provo by the Otto Floto show attended, many of whom were brought before the honorable Kangaroo Judges. Perhaps the Jolllest culprits were tho Otto, Floto showmen. Mr. Flanders was accused of having dues paid up In the grand lodge and for showing himself to people; 75 cents for each offense. Ringmaster John Ferrol was sentenced to pa $1.25 for living in a foreign country coun-try and showing wild animals. Pressman Marklc, for drawing kangaroos kanga-roos and being a member of Sioux Falls lodge, paid $2. Mr. Franklin, for fear of wild arlmals, paid $1.50. The- Hon. Sam King waB taxed $L25 for being ambitious In Democratic circles. Funeral services for Frank J. Tucker, which were held In the Sixth ward mcct-Ing-houso this morning, were perhaps the most impressive held In Provo In recent years. Members of the I. O. O. F. lodge No. 14, of which he was a prominent , member, attended In a body. Tho beautiful beauti-ful floral offerings .given by members of the lodge and friends of the deceased were Indeed tributes of those who hold his memory dear. Provo Elks likewise attended In Uniforms, Uni-forms, which added respect to tho occasion. occa-sion. Tho Sixth ward choir, aided by a quartette, quar-tette, composed of Roberts, Whitehead, Jones and Johnson, furnished the music. Tho following were the speakers: Past Grand Master Eph Homer of Lodge No. 14, Hush Clayton. Past Grand blaster George Stoney of Lodgo No. 14, Bishop J N. Taylor of the Third ward, James Clove, Bishop Ralph Poulton, Brlgham Johnson and George Startup. The Provo band, followed by about 150 Odd Fellows, preceded tho cortege to tin cemetery |
