President Roosevelt Is believed to have already al-ready selected men to appoint to the places In his Cabinet soon to be made vacant Ho has given out nothing touphlny his-plans; his-plans; however, except that on the retirement re-tirement of Secretary Knox, who Is expected ex-pected to accept tho appointment of the Pennsylvania Scnatorshlp, ho will transfer trans-fer Secretary Moody to tho Altorney-Gcncralshlp. He Is said to bo amply qualified for this Important Im-portant station and his selection would bo npproved by labor as well as by capital planned, Is dependent upon Mr. Roosevelt's Roose-velt's success In finding a good man to succeed Moody. Including- Representative Rep-resentative Foes of Illinois, chairman' of the Houso Committee on Naval Affairs; Representative Dayton of West Virginia, a member of tho samo committee, and several othr men. Dayton May Go to Navy. Tho Indications are strongly in favor of Representative Dayton of West Virginia as Secretary of the' Navy. Moody and Anti-Trust Lavr. Mr. Knox also believes that he may bo more effective In tha campaign if he has ceased to bo a member of the Cabinet than he would be if ho remained. Mr. Knox said today thaC, as- hf had not received his formal appointment as Senator from Pennsylvania, he had not tendered hja resignation to the President. He Intimated that tho resignation would bo forthcomlngi at once, and that the date of Its acceptance would be determined by th President absolutely.
