SUSPICIOUS TRIO SEEN. Two Men and Man in Woman's Garb Encountered. A man, wearing skirt, shirt-waist and fascinator, and two men in ordinary male attire have given rise to much feminine nervousness in the vicinity of Ninth East and Ninth South streets. The reason for this strange masquerade masque-rade Is a mystery, but the women Impute Im-pute all kinds of evil to the queer trio. The only overt act so far as reported, look place Thursday nighf at the residence resi-dence of Charles- Gulbranson, 494 South Ninth East. Mrs. Gulbranson was alone in the house and was sitting without a light. About 10 o'clock a strange man came In the yard, walked around the house to the back porch and looked through the window. He was evidently disappointed In the view, for he walked back to the street and there met another man and the man In female fe-male attire. A few minutes later the three were passed on the street Just below the Gulbranson Gul-branson house by two ladles, whose attention at-tention was attracted by the evident disguise of the female impersonator. His real sex was disclosed by his walk, the edges of his trousers and his large tan shoes. He held his fascinator across the lower part of his face in such a manner as to hide his features. TheCountry club Is in this direction, and it is surmised that the suspicious trio may have designs on wealthy members of tho club who go to and fro on Ninth East. This theory, however, does not fully acount for the man in woman's dress. I
