Cleveland, the man. with whom Is associated Senator Reed Smoot In the project for building the new electric lino through the valleys, Is In the city and busily engaged In looking into the local situation. vIL was a significant fact that he called upon President S. Bamberger of the Lagoon road yesterday, although it Is given out that the visit was merely one of a social nature. However, It Is now no longer a secret that the Bamberger Bam-berger road will likely be made Into an electric line and at the same time It has been figured in a connection with several sev-eral other deals. Mr. Mahler is very much pleased with the outlook, and especially with the prompt manner In which the first franchise fran-chise was granted in Provo. He will be here several days, and It Is extremely likely that before he leaves something will be done toward looking to a local franchise and making arrangements ar-rangements for running the system through the city and county. Whether or not the now line will absorb ab-sorb any existing roads remains to be seen, but on the face of It the purchase pur-chase of the Lagoon road would be the natural sequence.
