Show Brought From Prison to Sign a Call City Council of Goldfield, Colo., Removed From tho Bull Pen Temporarily. VICTOR. Colo.. June 10. Arrests were continued throughout tho day In Victor, Marshal Naylor finding twelve union men in a collar of the city and arrested all of them. They were taken before Provost Marshal McClelland Mc-Clelland to give an account of themselves and were later placed in tho bull pen. Today the members of tho City Council of Goldfield were brought down from tho bull pen to tho military headquarters and thore affixed their names to a call for a special meeting of tho Council, to be held at Goldfield tomorrow afternoon. This call was signed by tbo Mayor and all of tho Aldermen. Since twenty-four hours' notice la required re-quired for iiuch a mooting, tho formalities had to be gono through with today. At tho mooting tomorrow it Is said an entirely en-tirely new set of City Aldermon will, bo selected, with the exception of Mayor Hays. Tho Stratton Indopcndonco and tho Shurtllff mines reopened tonight and by Mondav It Is asserted resumption will bo quite general. Several leasers havo also resumed work. Conditions at tho Portland Port-land mlno arc unchanged. Victor was quiet all day except for tho excitement incident to the deportation. |
