Letters Let-ters received here this week from a New York man who Is In close touch with the promoters of this enterprise, as well as with the Majestic, indicate that the Monarch ought be ready for business now within a few days, says Charley Harte in the Mllford Times. He made the further statement that the Monarch Is not dependent upon the success suc-cess of any promotion work, as all of the money that It will need has been subscribed, and that this money will be available Just as soon as the work of transferring properties, Issuing stock and preparing bonds can be disposed of. It is learned that the Monarch consolidation con-solidation will not Include the Mnjestlc at the outset. The plan to take In tho latter company hae been delayed by the opposition of a certain faction of Majestic Ma-jestic stockholders, and the Monarch will go ahead with Its organization, leaving the way open for the Majestic to come in later if it so desires. Tho proposition will bo formally voted upon by the Majestic stockholders, probably early next month. If it is decided to join with the Monarch, it Is stated that all of the Majestic obligations will be taken care of, while if the proposition is defeated, the fear lg expressed that receivership proceedings cannot be avoided. This would result In a forced sale of the properties, In which event the stockholders would realize nothing on their holdings. |
