Show 1 DANGER IN COASTING John Wiscomb and Fred Thorne Badly Hurt I RAN INTO ATELEPHONE POLE I Both Suffaror From Concussion Concus-sion of tho Brain Wiscombs Collar Bone Broken and Both Are Considered in a Critical Condition While coasting on Gllmores hill at Ninth South and Eleventh East about 3 oclock yesterday afternoon John Wlbcomb Jr aged 0 and Fred Thorne aged 10 ran into a telephone pole and were both seriously injured At 10 oclock last night neither boy had regained re-gained consciousness Young Wiscombs collarbone was broken and both are thought to have sustained Internal I injuries as they > have been vomiting blood The Wis comb boy Is the son of the exCoun cllmnn and the father of the borne boy Is John Theme employed by the city at Liberty park After the accident ac-cident the lads were taken to their homes In the adjoining block and physicians phy-sicians summoned to attend them It Is feared that one or both of the boys are In a serious condition Dr Joseph Mllliron who is attending the Wiscomb boy gave out the following follow-ing statement last night Ills collarbone collar-bone was broken and he is also suffering suf-fering from concussion of the brain He is unconscious oft and on but I think he has safely passed the crisis The outlook is good At 11 oclock Dr J S Sharp who Is attending the Thorne boy gave out this report The boy Is suffering from a heavy concussion of the brain Tim severe shock remained with him for eevcn or eight hours and what the ultimate ul-timate result will be cannot bo determined deter-mined for about twentyfour hours The boy is extremely delirious but still the Indications are quite favorable favor-able i |
