Show GLOVE 3 All i MISSING Member of Knickerbocker Club Short in Accounts GRAND LARCENY CHARGED I After Arrest He Drew 20000 and Disappeared Was Charged Originally With Settling Set-tling With nsulilnceClients for Less Than Sum Due New York Dec 29 Commodore Edward F Glover of the Knickerbocker Yacht club formerly president for many years of the Crescent Athletic club and well known in Brooklyn society has disappeared A warrant was served upon Glover December ISth in which he was charged by a client with grand larceny and obtaining ob-taining money under false pretenses Glover was paroled J > in custody of his counsel When the case was called held he-ld notappenrand the Assistant District Dis-trict Attorney declared he had viOlated his parole Another warrant was pro cured but has not been served The charges upon which Glover was arrested are to the effect that he as president of the New York Security Se-curity company accepted fees of H from persons for which sum his company com-pany was to Investigate their claims and adjust damages should the clients meet with accident In this case the client alleges that at fiist he was told he had a good claim for injury against an electrical company for which he worked but later wail induced to signoff sign-off for 25 and that Glovers concern then procured 150 on the claim from the accident assurance company which protected the electrical concern It is said the outcome was an investigation inves-tigation set afoot by the assurance company which already Involves a large sum |
