Show FUNERAL OF JAMES S BROWN Pioneer of the West Laid to Rest Yesterday The funeral services of James S Brown one of the pioneers of the West S were held at the Assembly Hall yesterday yes-terday at noon and were conducted by President Angus M Cannon Bishop Walter S Beatty of the Seventeenth ward Joshua Terry of Draper who had been associated with Mr Brown on many Indian expeditions Angus M S S Cannon Apostle Brigham Young and President Joseph Smith all tcstlllcd to I the sturdy character and virtuous life of the man they had known so many I years Ten missionaries who had been with Mr Brown In the Pacific Islands sat upon the platform during the services ser-vices Muslo was furnished by the Temple choir with ProC C J Thomas S as leader At the cemetery the grave was dedicated by John T Cain who many years ago was a missionary In the Hawaiian islands |
