Show I BROIE UP PARADE Walter Clawson Arrested for Disturbing Dis-turbing Procession of Knights S Templar Yesterday An incident which occurred at Main and Second South streets yesterday afternoon af-ternoon did much to mar tho Easter quiet that prevailed throughout the city The Knights Templar sixty In number marched In trlpple line to the special service In their honor at St Marks cathedral As they were returning re-turning preceded by Uelds Mllltaiy band tho parade was met by Walter Clawson who was driving a spirited black horsq to a cart The horse he came frightened at the music of tho band and turned about rearing and plunging 1 Clawson soon had the animal under control and as If I to take revenge for the fright dashed through the ranks of tho parade the musicians and the XnlghtB Templar fleeing for their lives In every direction The utmost confusion con-fusion prevailed for a fow minutes hut fortunately no one was hurt Officer Smith ran after the rig and placed Clawson under arrest JIo was takon to the station and locked I up for a few hours but later some of his friends appeared and gave bond for his appearance ap-pearance In court |
