DUBOIS ON IRRIGATION Idaho Senator Devoting Considerable Attention to Matter i TRIBUNE SPECIAL Boise Ida1 May 10 United States Senator Sen-ator Fred T Dubols Is I here lie Is devoting devot-ing considerable attention to the question ques-tion of Irrigation In the course of an Interview he saId i Irrigation Js iho most Important subject sub-ject of legislation so far as Idaho Is concerned con-cerned now before Congress I am Inclined In-clined to think Congress will either cede all the arid lands to the respective States or will allow them to be Hold the fondH derived therefrom In each State to bo set apart for experimental purposes building storage reservoirs projecting canals etc In my opinion Congress will not appropriate appro-priate largo sums of money directly out of the treasury for the reclamation of arid lands My view at present IB that all administrative functions appertaining to 1 conservation and distribution of water should remain In the respective States Tho Senator will devote his energies very largely to Ito Irrigation problem
