Naviga-tion company i has succeeded In diverting di-verting to the Portland route about I 10 per cent of this traffic It Is said I that forty men who returned from Manila on the Grant have refused lobe lo-be ticketed over the Santa Fe and may I go East by the northern line There Is a possibility that the ngreement for a division the soldier business may be canceled Mr Clarks Statement In his the greater part of today considering the advisability of framing a pool on military mili-tary business to and from San Francisco Francis-co After much discussing a committee commit-tee representing the Santa Fe Southern South-ern Pacific Union Pacific and Rio Grande roads was appointed and requested re-quested to submit a representation concerning the formation of a pool on military business and organisation of a transcontinental combination on passenger pas-senger business The committee presented pre-sented a report later in the day The provisions of the report favored the formation of two pools one by lines east of Denver and El Paso and the other of lines west of those gateways In this proviso the setttloment of their differences Is left to the Santa Fe and the Southern Pacific
