DEWEY TO COME WEST WILL VISIT SAN FRANCISCO WITHIN A YEAR Henry S Dewey a Cousin of the Ad mimi in the CityIs Sure His Great Relative will Visit Salt Lake J Henry S Dewey cousin of the Admiral Ad-miral of the navy Is at the Knutsford hotel from New York en route to San Francisco on a business trip Mr Dewey Is a veteran of the Civil war in which he served for three years on the staff of two Generals In the Western army Ho remarked last night on being be-ing told that he closely resembled the great Admiral You I have been told so befoie and I suppose It is so But I am not from Vermont as my father removed to Indiana when I was a small boy which made mean Indlanian However as I was In business back In the 70s In Holyoke Mass as president of the National Bank Note company my sympathies have been largely with New England What do you think of the plan to create two ViceAdmiralties and give them to Sampson and Schley I dont think It will ever be done and the plan of the President to create ono audi position and make Sampson the ViceAdmlral will not prevail owing ow-ing to the feeling in the Senate So there is not any likelihood of their being be-ing any ViceAdmlral either for the one or the two candidates Admiral Dewey will be In Salt Lake within a year He has to go lo San Francisco within that time and can not very well pass by Salt Lake So the good citizens of this city will have an opportunity to see the Admiral
