THE NEW PTRITIC PLANT Its Magnitude is Just Beginning to Be Understood The magnitude of the now pyrltic plant with which the ores of the Blng I Jiam Copper and Gold Mining company irc to be reduced was not understood until Mr Nutting the superintendent of construction unfurled his plans yesterday yes-terday and with Mr Watson his as Eittant began active work upon the estimates on material that is to be embraced em-braced in time structure According to I these the new smelter is to handle no less than 9COO tons oC 91 ae monthly this to come from the companys mines together to-gether with what tonnage of sllicious ores that may be required In combination combina-tion with the sulphides Today there will arrive from Colorado a carload cf material for use in the office and pre llmlnari work upon the site which is yet to be announced Superintendent Nutting would not undertake to say wlun the plant would be ready for operation In the meantime the blocking out of ore at the mine goes on steadily while I the tapping of the main ore chute with the tunnel from Copper Center gulch is expected daily
