I COITRACT FOR ELKS FENCE Will Require 60000 Feet of Lumber I Plans for ParadeNaming Elk The Elks Carnival cothmlttee has awarded the contract for the building of the fence ior the Inclosure of West Temple from Second South to Third South Third South from West Temple to Main and Main from Third South to Second South to the Utah Lumber company Sixty thousand square feet of lumber will he used for the Inclosure Dr W F Beer has been appointed chairman of the parade committee The parade will be one of the features and will take place on September 19th All fraternal organizations will be asked to participate Utah volunteers and Na tional Guardsmen and merchants will be asked to make a display with floats Boyd Park the Jeweler has donated a ladys 100 gold watch to the lady suggesting the most appropriate name for the Elks live elk A committee of three leading citizens not Elks will be appointed within the next few days to decide who has suggested the most appropriate ap-propriate name This guessing contest Is for ladiesonly and closes September 20th at S p m sharp Each guesser is allowed but one guess Capt F F Stoll directorgeneral of the carnival will leave for Butte Saturday Sat-urday evening to attend the Butte Street Fair and Carnival which takes place in that city on July 16th to 27th and look over Jarbours shows which tho Elks committee recently contracted for
