Show I MARRIAGE OF ELOPING COUPLE Miss Gwendoline AkCune and Albert W Andrews JJnitcd Yesterday by Bishop Seddon V V Miss Gwendoline McCune and Albert W Andrews of Nephl were married at 9 oclock yesterday morning by BishopS V Bishop-S M T Seddon of the Fifth ward this city The witnesses were Miss V Birdie Russell a cousin of the groom and Miss Seddon The brides stylish traveling suit was adorned with a bunch of bride roses and she looked very pretty In the center of the group Mr Iud Mrs Andrews are guests of friends but will return to Nephl tomorrow to-morrow to make their future homo there Such Is the sequel to a very pretty romance as told in yesterdays Tribune Trib-une The bride and groom were found shortly after the ceremony and Mr Andrews said that they had both asked consent to have the marriage take place but had been refused and they came to Salt Lake for that purpose pur-pose Neither Mr nor Mrs Andrews could see Why they should not be married mar-ried or why the matter should cause so much stir in Nephl but they hoped to have It all blow over very soon No word had reached them from Nc phi probably because no one there knew their whereabouts and in fact last night few knew where they were to be found They did not go to the County Clerks ofllce here and so did not know that Clerk Dunbar yesterday received from the father of the bride a telegram tele-gram directing him to withhold a marriage mar-riage license They had procured one however beforehand and all that was necessary was to have the ceremony performed which was done early yesterday yes-terday morning Considerable Interest was shown in the matter yesterday and the brides relatives were still trying try-ing to find her Miss McCune is the daughter ot Mr and Mrs E J McCune of Nephl Both the bride and groom are among the leaders of society In the southern city where they will be welcomed home no doubt tomorrow night by all their friends |
