Weber, the popular sheriff of Summit county, who is known from one end of the territory to the other, was made the defendant in a divorce suit brought by hi wife in the Third district court this after" noon. The nes of Mrs. Weber's action spread quickly among the friends of the parties, and created quite a sensation. Adultery is alleged as the ground of the action. A SINGULAR CASE. In May last Fred King, a resident of this city, obtained a divorce in Third district ! court from his wife, Jennie King. . What was his surprise this morning to receive notice no-tice from his former wife that she had instituted insti-tuted divorce proceedings against him in Kennebeck, Maine. It seems that she never had learned of the divorce obtained by her hnsband, but she would not have oojected to it. |
