Show IN THE POI.ICE COURT. i Froceed in)f Before Kesler, This Morning. There were only two cases on Kesler's docket this morning, and they were disposed of in short order. THEY ALSO PAID THE BRAKEM AN. Sam Bstt and John Crow were arrested for stealing a ride on a Rio Grande train from Glenwood Springs, Colo., to this city. They stated that a brakeman had locked them in a lumber car with eight others. All had to pay the brakeman, Batt giving him $1.20 and a gold ring, and Crow paid $1. Batt claimed that he stopped over in this city for the purpose of collecting a month's wages due him as cook for Jack Frazier, tho absconding re6taurant-koeper of Glenwood Springs. They told a straight story and were dismissed. HE PHOULD BE TURNED LOOSE. Ed Duncan, an English sailor now employed em-ployed by the Rio Grande Western at Franklin, Frank-lin, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disturbing dis-turbing the peace. Besides the remnants of his jag Duncan sported a badly discolored right eye, but his lingual apparatus was ail ritr tt. and he made an eloquent and at times pathetic plea for clemency. "I want to go to work, your honor," but it seems I can't do it." Then the hardhearted hard-hearted crowd, led by the good Dr. Raleigh, laughed. He also promised nover to again dallv with liquid red fire. Ills case was continued con-tinued until later in the day to give the arresting officer an opportunity to tell his story. BHOBT ORDERS. C. Johnson, charged with assault and battery, bat-tery, had the case dismissed yesterday by paying the costs, $5. Gworge Conley, the young burglar, was sent to jail yesterday for ten days for vagrancy. vag-rancy.
