Show First Precinct Republicans Organize. Pursuant to a call from the Republicans of the First precinct, a meeting was held last night in the Agricultural fair building build-ing for the purpose of effecting a permanent perma-nent precinct campaign organization. Mr. McCalllster was elected temporary chairman with A. C. Ivins secretary. Judge J. M. Breeze was elected permanent perma-nent chairman, A. C. Ivins secretary and George N. Dow treasurer. An executive committee of seven was next elected, consisting: of Eben Case, C. O. Whittemore, Mr. Wellock, Salmon Crown, Judge C. W. Burris, Mr. Christianson and George N. Dow. A committee on finance was also elected, and the following niroti persons were chosen: L. G. Hardey, E. W. Tatlock. A. J. Cannon, Joseph Geoghugan, Boman Cannon, Mr. Wellock, William Everett, John Barker, Bar-ker, E. B. Critchlow, Conrad Wilkinson and J. D. H. McCallister. It was arranged that a meeting be held next Thursday evening at 7:80 in Christian-son's Christian-son's terrace on Ninth South, between Seventh Sev-enth and Eighth East streets, for the transaction trans-action of such business as may come before be-fore the meeting; and the executive com- m4ttee was instructed to provide speakers for the occasion. The executive committee arranged to hold a business meeting- at headquarters in the Wasatch block at 8 p. m. next Saturday, and the finance committee will hold a meeting for the same purpose at the same hour and plsce on Monday evening next The meeting then adjourned until next Thursday evening, when all good Republicans Republi-cans in the First precinct are expected to be on hand and take part in the business, and listen to Republican principles as expounded by some of the best speakers in the city. |
