The plaintiff in ine case ot 1;. m. neii. ine vt asmng-ton asmng-ton photographer, against Henderson, Achert &Krebs of this city, filed an exhibit ex-hibit in tho United Stales court this morning, to which is dttaehed a picture of Mrs. Cleveland. wlfe of the ex-president. Soon after Mr. Cleveland's nd- j vent into Washington society she gave Bell permission to photograph her. An agreement was , etrtilred into under which Bell was to prevent the use of the picture for advebising purposes. Hw had the tilcture fly etfpy'riglited but notwithstanding this precaution Ihe defendant, it is alleged, lithographed it, thus infringing upon Mr. Bell's rights. The suit is for $84,000 damages. |
