Show -t NEVADA NOTES. Silver State: A Chinaman was cut in two yesterday on the Central Paeitic road at Hot Springs, between Lovt-locks Lovt-locks and Wadsworth. His body was taken to Wadsworth. The other Chinamen China-men of that section refused to have anything any-thing to do with the remains, giving us a reason that he was a bad Chinaman, always stealing. They may have assisted him in getting tindor the wheels.. An onyx ledge has been opened up by Messrs. Emmons and Fleming, six niilos from Lovelocks, on tho Central Pacilie railway. The ledge is 10 J feet wide by 40 feet 'it height. It has the appearance of the most beautiful variegated varie-gated marble, and is susceptible of tho highest polish and very easily worked. The strata in the piece " shown a reporter by agontlcmau connected with the enterprise is worthy of a placo in any cabinet. Near by the find is a ledge of splendid white "marble. Truly it may be said that the much abused Sagebrush State Is yet in its infancy as far as precious metals and atones aro concerned. |
