An elopement elope-ment that has caused a sensation here, on account of tho beauty aud popularity popular-ity of the young girl, came to light yesterday. yes-terday. Miss Rosa Sadler, the 10-year-old daughter of Mrs. Hannah Sadler, proprietrees of the Condon house, became be-came enamored of a handsome young barber named Augustino Risori. Rosa had an accepted lover, James Potter, and she was cautioned once or twice by her mother and others that her regard for Risori was, not in keeping with her engagement. Tho girl laughingly replied re-plied that she was careful enough. Last Sunday morning Risori came to the hotel early with a friend and remained some time. Rosa had in the meantime dressed herself with great care, and asked her mother whether she might go out for a walk. Mrs. Sadler reminded re-minded the girl that she had promised Potter to go riding with him, but Rosa said the trip had been postponed, as she had promised to go to a christening with Risori, and 'Jimmy' had consented. Two hours later when Potter came with a carriage, the girl's story was found to be untrue, and Tier mother resolved to have an understanding when she returned. re-turned. But srhe, did not return.
