Show Justly Offended. Thor came across the ocean the other day a Highlander who chose to wear the costume to which be had been accustomed while dwelling among hie native hills, viz., the kilt. After leaving the Cunard wharf and crossing the East Boston ferry he entered en-tered a horsecar, creating no little sensation sensa-tion among the passengers. Wholly indifferent indif-ferent to glances of admiration or surprise, he took his seat and began to scan the various advertisements displayed in the car, Suddenly hi brow grew dark, and rising ho signaled the conductor to stop. "You said you wanted togototheCunard office," said the conductor; "this is nowhere near it." "It me off." The car was stopped, and as he descended tho steps the couductor, thinking something some-thing might have offended him, asked: "Is there anything the matter?" "Look at that sign in the car there," he said, as, giving a swish to his kilts, he dropped into the st reet. The conductor looked at the sign. It read: , "Do you wear pants ?" Boston Courier. |
