Ve.ssie Call Marler, of Independence, Indepen-dence, Mo., was one of the callers at the Israel Call home, on his 82nd birthday anniversary Thursday. Mrs. Marler was born in Bountiful the daughter of Bishop Chester and Mary "Chef Call. She lived here before the family moved'to Chesterfield, Ches-terfield, Idaho. Mrs. Marler will leave this Friday for a visit in Chesterfield. Mr. Marler works in the big church printing office in Independence, Mo. The Farent-Teachers association, headed by Mrs. Ross Jenkins, a parent, and D. R, Tolman, principal of the local grade school were canning can-ning pea3 at the Stoker school, th first of the week. They canned 250 quarts. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins left Thursday Thurs-day for Idaho to spend the weekend. week-end. Roy Young, 37, cf Salt Lake City son of A. R. Young of Bountiful, died in a Salt Lake hospital of heart attack, Sunday afternoon and funeral services were held in Mt. Pleasant, Wednesday, in which cemetery interment took place. The deceased i3 survived by his widow, and seven children of Salt Lake and his father, Alma R. Young and a stepmother of BountifuL Mr. and Mrs. James Peterson and Miss Blanche Hansen left for the cast on a business tftp, the first of the week. Herman Nielsen left on a trip to Yellowstone this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd W. Parkin and Miss June Parkin expect to leavo for Yellowstone pai next Tuesday. George Thurgood. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Richards and Mrs. Newman Reeves of Los Angeles are here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Muir and family. The three ladies are sisters. Now that the Btate is expecting to oil the Mu'ler park road, there is a move on to get he state to widen the first stretch of that road from Five Points to the upper county road, to a three rod road a wider one, it is stated would bring it too close to some of the houses. The road is so narrow now, that there is great danger of accidents, acci-dents, especially, if one is backing out of his property as cars are passing. There is a great deal of travel over this road certain daya and certain times of the day. With this improvement, tbla Would bo-come bo-come one of the important road ol the town. 1 |
