DIRTY WORMY CANDY IS SOlD Olympia Candy Company Has lias Trouble With ure Food Official Criminal proceedings against tho the pro proprietors proprietors proprietors of the Olympia Candy company a Greek candy store on South Main street will probably bo be brought within a day or two by State Food and Dairy Commissioner Willard Hanson for vio violation vIolation lation of the pure food laws of the state The suit is a result of the purchase of ot some candy in the candy store yester yesterday yesterday yesterday day by a young lady at the county recorders office The candy was turned over to the state food and dairy commissioner and was found to contain dirt and worms The state commissioner went to the store with Deputy Smith and found a tray of the same candy The Greeks in inthe Inthe inthe the place at first refused to allow the commissioner to confiscate the candy but later turned it over to him and It was destroyed Some of the candy can y was bought and this was sent to State Chemist Herman Harms t who found worms and dirt In it The candy was unfit for human con consumption consumption consumption but much of It had been sold during the day It was placed on sale anle yesterday at special prices and many customers bought of it There have been several complaints of the candy sold at somo some of the stores and the state commissioner will wUl Investigate these cases ca s
