CummIng field by b a score of or 25 to 0 Both teams put up a good game gme and it was a contest contest Although the High School boys were outweighed and up against more experienced men many of ot whom had played on the High School team in years ear past they played pla ed a plucky pluck game gme The scoring started early earl in the game when the U team rolled the ball bal over after a series serl s of ot line lne plunges that took the team tem slowly but surely down the field eld The second score came after the ball bal had been played by both sides In the middle of the field for some time Jessup Jesup got away for a long run around left lef end and after a few bucks by b Watson and Moyle the latter was wa sent over for a touchdown During the last lat part of the half haI the west siders alders rallied arId and a d twice threatened the theU theU theU U goal but they the fell fel short each time within a few yards of the goal At the kickoff on the second half hal Jessup the U halfback who was wa easily easl the star of the team made the best run of the day dar Moyle Mole misjudged the kickoff and fumbled the ball bal Jessup was behind and picked the pigskin up and ran rn half the length of the field dodging ten of the High School players The run rn would have been good for a touchdown if Fitzpatrick had hadnot hadnot hadnot not nabbed him just as a he was entering a clear field After the ball bal had been exchanged a number of times in the thc middle of ot the field the scrubs finally worked down to the line lne Jessup again agin stepped into the limelight and sent the ball bal directly between the goal posts post on a drop kick kIck It I was undoubtedly und the best kick that has ha been made since the days of ot Bill Bi Ferguson Alter After Ater the kick the west siders braced and again agin got within striking distance of the U L goal but hut lost the ball bail bal on downs The scrubs then started stared for another touchdown and the west siders sid could not head them off oH After bucking to the line lne Jessup made a substantial gain gln around end Moyle Moyie made ten yards ards on a fake buck and Karrick who had bad been taken from right end to play Watsons half hal was shoved shoed over for the third touchdown The next score came after a succession of line lne bucks buck by b Karrick Moyle oyle and Jessup The High School was wa handicapped some somewhat somewhat somewhat what by b the loss of three thre of the regular men who are on the hospital list The he hacks backs played a plucky game and the line linemen lne men inca put up a hard fight against their heavier aIer opponents Wheeling the High School fullback did some good punting In the U team the back field men Jes Jessup Jessup sup sUJ Watson Vatson Moyle and Karrick arrik did great work On the line lne Hennessey Hennesse at tackle tackle Young at guard gard and Richards at center were the stars Hennessey and Young could always Iwas be depended on to open big holes in the High School line lne and on defense they the repeatedly broke up mats mass ma plays Young Youns often ofen broke through the he line throwing the runner back hack for large losses loses The day was Ideal and the field was vs in good condition co diton The crowd however was not large and the rooting especially poor Even the students student lid did not even attempt a yell el
