Show Target Praotice. At the request of Mr. A. G. Alford, representing Remmgtoa & Son's guns, several of the riflemen of Salt Lake assembled at Arsenal bill range yesterday to shoot at 500 yards, Mr. Alford shooting the Remington gun in the Fultoa reclining position, which was copied by Mr. Meears with a Sharp's rifle, Meuare. McLaughlin and Wailin using the Ballard rifle, shooting at arms length. In justice to Mr. Meears' score, we state that he 1 was experimenting with a uew siht, of his own invontiou. Not counting Mr. Meears' score, Mr. Evans Btill holds the leather medal and defies competition. Riflemen of Salt Lake do not think much of the reclining position, as mor6 nerve is required shooting offhand, although any position po-sition without artificial support is allowed at the Creed moor matches.
