Governor Pott a has ordered the reports to be investigated, aud it ia to be hoped that the hoatites will soon be placed between two fires, and effectually crushed out. It is estimated that the Flatheada in Montana can furnish 1,200 warriera. The government Bhould authorize the employment of a sufficient number of volunteers to put a speedy stop to this conllict by hunting down the hostiles and bringing bring-ing them into peaceful conditioLS.
