Show The Lecture. Common Sense. Dr. York'd free lecture last even inn at the Liberal institute was well attended by people who were anxious to ascertain whether or not they had ac-y of this desirable commodity. Tbe lecture related more to common sense on religious matters than on ordinary affairs, to which it was understood to be devoted. Tbe gentle man is severe and radical when referring refer-ring to existing religious beliefs, but being evidently good natured and somewhat humorous, impressed bis audience not unfavorably. The lecture lec-ture being free of charge, it is quite possible that the doctor did not draw on his resources to tbe fullest ex(nt, but still many of his theories and arguments ar-guments were advanced with consider able skill and erlectiventtss. Dr. York will lecture again w uight on the subject of "Evolutiou," when the small admusion fee of ten cents will be charged, V - |
