Show Third District Court. Proceedings in the Third district court on Monday, at OcdeD, Judge Emerson presiding: The December term of the district court opened in Ogden, Monday, present pres-ent Judges Hunter and Emerson, but no grand or petit jury. Judge Hunter, after tbe opening of court, announced decisions in several cases that had been submitted to him at Suit Lake during tbe last term ol the court, after which be left the benoh, statiug that Judge Kmereon would preside here during the rest of the term, as he waa about to go east. Judge Emerson then proceeded to call the trial docket ol the term, continuing con-tinuing all cases not answered to, and also continuing all jury cases. The court appeared anxious not to try jury cases on submission, as in a certain cer-tain case where it was suggested that the parties would waive a jury trial, Judge Emerson declined to take it or any law case with issue of fact for trial. This ruling ol bis honor as to jury trials will render the labors of court light, if not make the term a short one. Among tbe cases decided by Jude Hunter, this morning, was that of Hatch V3. the U. P. R. R. Co., as to certain property in eeoiion 29, a part of Ogden City, entered by tbe mayor under the townsite law in 1869, and patented to tbe oity in August, 1872, The decision, which was very lengthy and able, gives bo muoh of tbe seotion as wag in controversy to the railroad company, and would seem to shake the title to tbe whole of that part of our oity included in Beotion 29.
