Show The Tooele Contest. The Tooele mandamus case was continued before Justico McKean yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Tho only question on which evidence was takenVas as to how much property the suroties of Brown, tho contestant, are worth over and above their, debts, liabilities and property exempt from iTfriilinn. Thn KiirpLipj. Messrs. Bliss and Jones, of Dry Canon, were present, pres-ent, and each testified that U13 value of his property was between $15,000 and $20,000. The assessor and collector of Tooele, Mr. Lee, testified that on the' assessment assess-ment rolls Mr. Bliss' property was placed at $l,S-t3, while Mr. Jones' was fixed at $1,500; also that the assessment had been made from statements of their assets by tho gentlemen gen-tlemen themselves. After brief arguments by the respective re-spective counsel, a recess "was taken till 4 p.m., and at that hour the court adjourned till 10 o'clock this morn-iug, morn-iug, when Justice McKean is to announce an-nounce his ruling. |
