Show Theatre. The audience was apparently well pleased with the capital performance of "Kathleen Mavourneen, " and "Time Tries All," last evening. To-night the attractions are many and varied. The c ireful and popular actress, Miss A. A. Adams is to, take a benefit and her friends will rally in large numbers to show their appreciation appreci-ation of her long and faithful service. Besides the new play, elsewhero mentioned, there will be presented a variety entertainment of a peculiarly attractive character consisting of a ballad by Miss Emma Knapp, a comic recitation by Mr. Crosbic and 'two by Mr. Chauvin; the whole concluding con-cluding with daring athletic performances perform-ances by six well-known members of the (horizontal) bar of this city. The lady for whose benefit this admirable bill has been prepared is every way deserving, and we doubt not she will be substantially remembered by our citizens. |
