Gold Discovery. There was a rumor on the street yesterday that an immense ledgo of gold quartz had been discovered in Little Cottonwood Canon, and that preparations were being made by certain cer-tain parties to secure the most valuable valu-able portions of tho ledgo before the location ia made public. It is said assays of.somo choice specimens of the quartz prove it to- he almost incredulously in-credulously rich. The nzxi few days will doubtless develop something of interest to the public, and it is not improbable a rush of prospectors to Cottonwood will soon bo inaugurated.
