We have turned over its ample . pages, am conclude that it is a valuable valu-able work, and that would prove useful use-ful in ecry family, as well as in every counting-room, office and works!. op in tho land. It contains information not to be readily found outside ' of the great libraries, and takes the placo in many re-pects of the moro bulky cyclopedias. The design of the author has evidently been lo construct, by compilation from a multitude of authentic sources, sour-ces, a Bocia1, legal and coin-' mercial vade inccum, and the task has been executed with decided care and completeness. As much as it is important im-portant for most persons to know can be learned from its pages concerning penmanship, spelling, punctuation, writing for the press, all kinds of correspondence, cor-respondence, every variety of legal forms, and a thousand and one topics of general interest. The work was prepared by Thomas E. Hill, and is published by Moses Warren &, Co., of Chicago. It is sold only hy subscription at So per copy. Mr. England will call upon our citizens citi-zens and give them an opportunity to purchase it, a privilege of which many will doubtless avail themselves after examining the book. |
