Show The Oli.apodrida. A full houe greeted tho denouement of tho Olla pods at the Liberal Institute last night, 1 and the grand entree of the invincib'.cs was mado with much eclat. The concert con-cert passed off as well, perhaps, as oould bo expected, from the general lack of elbow room and the uncomfortable uncomfort-able situation of tho performers, although al-though the "intervals" seemed rather long drawn out. The herald's heavy voice ws very effective, and the "Happy Switzer," Mrs. Haydon, several sev-eral times called upon to "fill vacancies" vacan-cies" caused by absentee?, added much to tho programme. The next meeting meet-ing of tho Ollapods, if it can be upon a more extended stage, will doubtless improve upon their opening concert. |
