Show I Srccrs$FUL Trial. There was another an-other trial of the new steam fire cngino "Pioneer," yesterday afternoon, with tho most satisfactory results. The steamer was taken up to whoro City creek crosses East Temple Btrect, whero a stream of water was thrown fully a hundred feet before breaking, or high enough to go over the new tabernacle, with eighty pounds of steam. The test was continued until all were satisfied, satis-fied, after a number had received thoroughly tho-roughly wet jackets, that thp little beauty could throw a powerful jet of water in such manner as to do excellent excel-lent execution in the ovent of a fire. |
