Show have been figuring up the number of votes received by George Q-Cannon Q-Cannon at the last election f tr delegate, dele-gate, according to the "general's" computation, to make up the 20,969, and it reaches a tall number. First were 15,000 women how they must rejoice to find that their very numbers, twice as many as the men, kind of compel polygamy and 8,000 men of foreign birth and unnaturalized, making 23,000 to start with. The last official census gives Utah some 5G,000 native born population, and we may safely take a seventh 8,000 as among those who voted for Mr. Cannon, Can-non, making 31,000. Then of naturalized natu-ralized citizens one might compute seven or eight thousand more males, remember say 7.000 ; making 35,000. The "general" furthersays "large numbers num-bers of males voted for you who were under twenty-one years of age;" how large the number we can only guess anything from three to thirteen thousand; thou-sand; say 3,000, making 41,000 votes cast according to the general's "fingering" "finger-ing" to make up that 20,969 and we not through yet I Bravo ! Now, general, if you cau't get congress to swallow that something will ba the matter with congress or with you ; most likely the latter. |
